El Cerrito High School Jersey:
At the beginning of the 2003 racing season we paired up with El Cerrito High School and along with some other sponsors set out to get their team fitted in the best looking team kit this side of the Solano Avenue Cyclery Team. Jose, our resident art guy and winner of the Best Looking Legs on a Guy Contest (according to some local ladies), designed this fine body covering to look as good as it is fast. It must be working 'cause EC is sitting Top-5 midway through their first season racing! They are an excellent bunch of kids, and you can show your support by picking up one of these jerseys. |

Timbuk2 Messenger Bags:
The good folks at Timbuk2 are considered by many in the bike industry to be producers of the finest messenger bags in the business. Endless color options, tons of add-ons (cell phone holder, shoulder strap pad, interior dividers, etc.), along with bulletproof construction makes Timbuk2 the choice of bag for every employee at Solano Avenue Cyclery. On one shopping trip, Andy's jug of milk came open during the ride home, and none leaked out of the bag. He just discovered a pool of milk to which he could add cereal for a quick on-the-go meal. We're pretty sure that the Cereal Bowl feature means it's tough for rain to get in too.

Sock Guy Socks:
Who'd-a-thought that high quality riding socks could be this groovy, baby, groovy. We all wish we had more than two feet, so we could wear lotsa great cycling socks all the time. Sprock the Dog gets the last laugh this time. She could wear four socks all the time if she wanted to, but she seems content going sockless. Fool. We on the other hand will wear stylie Sock Guy socks on our hands, feet, and ears whenever possible.

Fox Sidewinder Gloves:
Fox has been in the business of making gloves for a pretty long time. Not only that, but they have always done a dang fine job doing it. And the Sidewinder is no exception. Four different colors to match whatever outfit you've got going. Buy a Red pair for Monday and Tuesday, a Khaki pair for Wednesdays, a Blue pair for Thursday through Saturday, and a Black pair for Sunday. Sidewinder's even have a cool little piece of sticky silicone on the fingertips to get a good grab on your brake levers even in wet conditions. Good thinking, huh?

Sidi Dominator 4 Lorica Shoes:
When it comes to absolute quality in cycling shoes, Sidi has got it pretty well figured out. Most of us here at Solano Avenue Cyclery sport at least one pair of Sidi's. The Dominator 4 Lorica is one of their higher-end mountain bike shoes, and with sizes ranging from 38-52 these babies will fit most any foot that steps in their path. |

Giro Xen Helmet:
Sometimes people come into the shop asking what our cheapest helmet is. That always strikes me as being similar to shopping around for the best deal on brain surgery. All of us here wear expensive helmets because we value our heads. While you can get a nice helmet for $35, isn't your head worth more than that? Think about what your last pair of shoes cost? Feet more important than head? Didn't think so.

Fox Head Hat:
Bad case of helmet hair got you down? Fear not, as this stylish cap from Fox comes in nine different colors and adjusts to fit about any head. What more can we tell you, it's a hat. |
