| As of this writing, Blurs are not yet available. "But how, oh Great Geniuses of Solano Avenue Cyclery, did you get one to ride," you say? Well, we have connections, and being nice Geniuses, we thought we'd give you the low-down on the Blur. Thanks for thinking of us as Geniuses, by the way. The photos you see are of SunRace/Santa Cruz Team Member, and 2001 NORBA National XC Champion Kirk Molday's personal bike. We had a chance to check it out for a few days, and let me tell you, any hype you have heard surrounding how unreal the ride aboard a Blur is, holds true. Suspension travel sits at a hair over four-inches, but the bike rides like it has half-a-foot of travel. I took it out for a couple hours and was blown away by how it rode. Last year I got a chance to spend some time riding a prototype Santa Cruz V10 (10-inch travel DH bike, also utilizing the VPP suspension design) and the resemblance in suspension feel is amazing. Plush like a Downhill bike, fast and light like a Cross Country bike. How much did we like the Blur? Well, four of us here at Solano Avenue Cyclery have already placed our orders for one. You can check out www.santacruzbicycles.com for more info on the Blur.
